Abstract

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a global agenda that aims to achieve sustainable development. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in pillars number four (Quality Education), number five (Gender Equality), and number seven (Clean and Affordable Energy) and measure its effect on financial performance as measured by Return on Equity (ROE) at PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) and PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk. The results showed a significant influence both partially and simultaneously between the three pillars of the SDGs on Return on Equity (ROE). The analysis of the coefficient of determination (R square) produces a value of 0.559, indicating that 55.9% of the variation in Return on Equity (ROE) can be explained by the three pillars of the SDGs studied. Although this value shows a fairly strong influence, 44.1% of the variation is explained by other factors outside the research model. This finding indicates that implementing the SDGs, particularly in the areas of Quality Education, Gender Equality, and Clean and Affordable Energy, has a positive impact on the company's Financial Performance. The results of this study provide important implications for companies in integrating sustainable development goals into the business strategies of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) and PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk, not only to fulfill social and environmental responsibilities but also to improve financial performance.
