Abstract
Land use changes in the PT ABC Plant Karawang factory area have led to the construction of new buildings, resulting in the loss of green areas and water catchment areas. Karawang Regency, where the factory is located, is at high risk of flooding in West Java. Examining the factory's current drainage system and the effects of these modifications to land use on runoff discharge are crucial. The next step is to assess the present drainage channels to see if they are sufficient to manage the runoff and fix any problems with insufficient drainage. As part of the study, we determined the expected frequency of rainfall, the intensity of rainfall using the Mononobe approach, and the anticipated flood discharge using the Rational method. Moreover, a model of the drainage system was developed using EPA SWMM 5.2. Runoff discharge changed by 12.98% as a result of changes in land use, according to the data. According to the results of the simulation, conduits C16, C17, C18, and C30 were insufficient. We widened the existing conduits and adjusted the height and gradient of the drainage invert as the optimal solution after calculating various dimension modification alternatives and re-simulation.
