Abstract

This research aims to design a waste management program at the Centennial Tower Office Building in accordance with DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation Number 102 of 2021. This research is motivated by waste problems in the metropolitan city of Jakarta, where office buildings are one of the main sources of waste generation. The research method used includes field observations, calculation of waste generation and composition, and interviews related to waste operations. The research results show that the Centennial Tower Office Building generates a total waste weight of 2,332.25 kg/day and a total waste volume of 24,507.682 L/day, with the waste composition dominated by organic/wet waste, plastic, and paper. The existing condition of waste management in the building still uses the old paradigm (collect-transport-dispose) and is not fully in accordance with DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation No. 102 of 2021, with an assessment score of 62.07%. Therefore, this research recommends the implementation of better Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in waste management, especially in the aspects of waste reduction, processing, and sorting, to improve compliance with regulations and reduce environmental impact.
