Abstract
"PT XYZ is a chemical trading company established in 1999 as a distributor and importer of basic chemicals. According to the UKL-UPL report in 2021, there were complaints from the community around the company in the form of shortness of breath due to poor ambient air quality. The air quality management system at PT XYZ must be reported to DLHK Tangerang Regency every 6 months in the form of UKL-UPL. The purpose of this study is to analyze the ambient air quality of SO2, NO2, CO and PM2.5 in 2021, 2022 and 2023, analyze the air quality management system at PT XYZ in the existing condition, develop recommendations for improving the air quality management system at PT XYZ. This research method uses qualitative descriptive analysis of observation data, interviews, company secondary data, comparing existing conditions with Government Regulation Number 22 of 2021. The results of the air quality analysis carried out exceeded the quality standards according to the regulation, namely the SO2 parameter in 2021, 2022, 2023 with a quality standard of 150 µg/m3, the CO parameter in 2022, 2023 with a quality standard of 1000 µg/m3, the NO parameter in 2021 with a quality standard of 200 µg/m3 and the PM2.5 parameter with a quality standard of 55 µg/m3. The ISPU value referring to Permen LHK No. 14 of 2020 shows that the CO parameter in 2021, 2022, and 2023 is classified as unhealthy because it has a value of more than 100, the SO2 parameter in 2021, 2022, and 2023 is classified as dangerous because it has a value of more than 300. The NO2 parameter is classified as dangerous because it has a value of more than 300, and the PM2.5 parameter is classified as dangerous because it has a value of more than 300. This is due to the addition of air pollutant emissions in the production area and around the company. Therefore, the recommendation for improving the air quality management system at PT XYZ is the addition of 6 air filters in the chimney in the production area and the addition of Aglonema plants in the company area. Periodic vehicle emission tests are required every 6 months. "
