Abstract

The purpose of this research is to assess the extent to which the official website of the DKI Jalarta DPRD in supporting public information disclosure. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach using case study analysis as the main method in exploring the utilization of information technology in public communication of the DKI Jakarta DPRD. The data collected for this research used in-depth interview techniques with relevant informants such as members of the DKI Jakarta DPRD and staff. The analysis was conducted by applying 3 action processes, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the DKI Jakarta DPRD situs web enables effective public communication. The information presented by them includes information disclosure and relevance and interaction with the community. The quality of use, information and interaction are three important components fulfilled by this situs web. This shows that the DKI Jakarta Council not only complies with existing laws but also strives to provide information to the publiclocator in a responsive and honest manner. The DKI Jakarta Council should continue to improve community engagement through interactive features on the situs web and social media, such as through discussion forums or live Q&A. It is also important to ensure that the information on the situs web is regularly updated and keeps up with the latest developments, including changes in regulations and policies.
