Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Islamic capital market on the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Indonesia. The Islamic capital market is measured using the Islamic Capital Market Index (IPMS), which is formed through the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) method by combining the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) and the Indonesian Islamic Stock Index (ISSI). Meanwhile, the SDG indicators analyzed include the poverty index (SDG 1), economic growth percentage (SDG 8), unemployment index (SDG 8), and inequality index (SDG 10). This study uses monthly secondary data from August 2017 to December 2025, with a total of 101 observations. The analysis is conducted in two stages. The first stage uses Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to form the Islamic Capital Market Index (IPMS). The second stage uses Multiple Linear Regression (Ordinary Least Squares/OLS) to analyze the influence of the IPMS on each SDG indicator. The research results show that the Islamic Capital Market Index (IPMS) has a negative and significant effect on the poverty index, unemployment index, and inequality index, indicating that the development of the Islamic capital market contributes to reducing poverty, unemployment, and inequality in Indonesia. However, the IPMS did not significantly affect the percentage of economic growth, indicating that the development of the Islamic capital market has not been able to directly drive economic growth during the study period.
