Abstract
Used oil and vehicle unit wash water are the waste with the largest volume in automotive workshop activities, so it requires special attention to the processing of liquid waste in the workshop. In practice, grey water at some points is still mixed with unit wash water which is contaminated with hazardous and toxic waste, increasing the pollutant load in the drainage path. This flow pattern risks reducing the performance of the processing unit of wastewater treatment. This study aims to design a plumbing installation for grey water and used unit wash water from the workshop separately to the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and to determine the capacity of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) with the Anaerobic-Aerobic biofilter method. The literature study method is a data collection method carried out by searching for information and data through documents related to the research topic. In this method, the author read and understood journals, books, regulations, and other documents related to the topic of the final project. The results of the study are in the form of a grey water design that is flowed to the equalization tank and the flow of used unit wash water from the workshop is flowed using a DN 100 mm PVC pipe to the oil trap and then continues to the equalization tank and WWTP. The main wastewater treatment plant consisting of four stages of initial sedimentation, anaerobic biofilter, aerobic biofilter, and final sedimentation with a capacity of 10.56 m3 is designed to be able to process wastewater effectively so that the resulting effluent meets the applicable quality standards and meets the hydraulic retention time requirements.
