Abstract
This study aims to identify and analyze shared pain values perceived by SIMOFI application users, focusing on the urgent need for application functionality improvement. Through in-depth interviews with 10 active SIMOFI users, this study successfully identified three main shared pain values. First, the lack of an autosave feature is a major concern, given the significant potential for loss of managed project data. Second, the lack of integration of the SIMOFI application with other platforms triggers double data input, which is not only time-consuming but also increases the risk of errors. Third, the absence of a graphical feature to visualize project financial data makes it difficult for users to analyze financial trends and make accurate data-based decisions. These findings indicate an urgent need for improved functionality that supports efficiency, accuracy, and user-friendliness in project management. Based on the identified shared pain values, this study proposes three solution prototypes. The Autosave feature is proposed to ensure user security and convenience in managing data. API integration is recommended to enable efficient and accurate data exchange with other applications, thereby reducing double input. Finally, data visualization with Tableau is proposed to provide deeper insights into project financial data, facilitating better decision making. This study contributes to a better understanding of the needs of SIMOFI application users and is expected to be the basis for the development of better SIMOFI applications in the future, which ultimately increases user satisfaction, work efficiency, and supports the success of project management.
