Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of positive leadership in preventing disciplinary violations in the form of desertion and Absence Without Permission (THTI) in Satuan 71 Kopassus. The study uses a qualitative approach with an interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) method. Primary data were obtained through in-depth semi-structured interviews with seven informants consisting of officers and non-commissioned officers with varying lengths of service and operational experience, including members who had been involved in disciplinary violations, while secondary data came from official documents such as Investigation Reports (BAP). Data analysis was carried out thematically through stages of repeated reading, initial recording, identification of emergent themes, grouping themes, and interpretation of the meaning of experience, with validity tests through source triangulation, member checks, audit trails, and researcher reflection. The results of the study indicate that positive leadership is implemented through the creation of a supportive work climate, strong interpersonal relationships, constructive communication, and instilling a deep sense of task meaning, accompanied by leadership practices based on attention, understanding, empathy, and concrete action.
