Abstract

This study seeks to examine the influence of job satisfaction and organizational culture on employee performance at PT PLN (Persero), while also investigating the mediating role of organizational commitment in these relationships. A quantitative research design was adopted, utilizing a survey method involving 92 employees as respondents. Primary data were collected through structured questionnaires and subsequently analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques. The empirical findings reveal that job satisfaction exerts a positive yet statistically insignificant effect on employee performance, although it demonstrates a meaningful contribution to the enhancement of organizational commitment. In contrast, organizational culture is found to have a positive and statistically significant effect on both employee performance and organizational commitment. Furthermore, organizational commitment is empirically confirmed to mediate the relationship between organizational culture and employee performance. However, it does not mediate the relationship between job satisfaction and employee performance. These findings underscore the strategic importance of internalizing corporate cultural values, cultivating harmonious interpersonal relationships, and strengthening managerial support systems to foster higher levels of organizational commitment and employee performance. The study recommends reinforcing organizational culture through systematic socialization and training initiatives, enhancing recognition of employee contributions, and conducting periodic evaluations of compensation systems to ensure perceived fairness. Such initiatives are expected to promote sustainable improvements in employee motivation, loyalty, and productivity, thereby contributing to the long-term attainment of organizational objectives.
