Abstract
Magelang City, as a growing urban center, is not immune to traffic safety challenges. An increase in the number of motorized vehicles, infrastructure development, and other factors can cause blackspots, which are specific locations on the road that are often the hotspots of accidents.It is important to understand and identify blackspots in Magelang City in order to design effective traffic safety prevention and improvement strategies. This study aims to analyze trafficaccident patterns, causal factors, and characteristics of blackspots in the city, with the hope of making a positive contribution in creating a safer and more efficient traffic environment. Based on the researcher's analysis, it was found that Ahmad Yani Magelang road has 92 sub-segments or blackspot points with a total of 18.89% fatal accidents and 81.11% minor injury accidents. Then it was found that the most vulnerable reference point occurred at the Monument /Monument / Peg with a figure of 33.33% and then followed by the second most reference point which occurred at 20.63%. It was found that the worst accident data occurred at the Monument / Monument / Peg witha Pedestrian accident type, befalling two victims 1 death and 1 minor injury with a total loss of Rp143,837,000.
