Abstract
Detergent is a cleaning product frequently used by the public. The main ingredient in detergent is Waterglass. During the production process, Waterglass can encounter risks of failure at each stage. Therefore, a quality risk analysis of each subprocess in Waterglass production is necessary. The method used for this analysis is Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Risk mapping of the failures occurring in each subprocess is recorded and analyzed. After mapping the risks from the interviews, the Risk Priority Number (RPN) is calculated, and a treatment plan is developed for risks with high and very high priority. A total of six quality risks were identified in the Waterglass production process. There are 2 low risks with RPN values of 75 and 75, 1 medium risk with an RPN value of 60, and 3 high risks with RPN values of 315, 200, and 270. The high risks identified are: the weighing subprocess to ensure balanced ratios with an RPN of 315, the dissolution subprocess in the production of thick Waterglass with an RPN of 200, and the production subprocess of Waterglass BE 34 with an RPN of 270..
