Abstract

Nyambi Kopi Coffee Shop is a company in the food and beverage sector that was founded on March 31, 2017. The trading company inventory is one of the company's assets, but since its establishment, Nyambi Kopi Coffee Shop has not had an inventory accounting information system. This causes Nyambi Kopi coffee shop to experience often obstacles in information about the amount of inventory in the storage area not matching the existing data and hinders the sales process. This study aims to design an inventory accounting information system with a qualitative descriptive method using primary and secondary data sources and data collection from observations, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the obstacles experienced by Nyambi Kopi coffee shop occur because there is no clear procedure regarding the receipt and release of inventory from the storage area. It is known that the company lacks sufficient records and documents, as well as effective job description management in the operation of the shop. Based on these obstacles, this study produces a series of inventory accounting information systems including procedures for receipt, release, and stock opname for Nyambi Kopi coffee shop.
