Abstract
This study aims to analyze the level of user satisfaction with pedestrian facilities in the Blok M area and to develop recommendations for the redesign of pedestrian facilities. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey administered to pedestrians, assessing the importance and performance of various pedestrian facility attributes. The data were analyzed using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) methods. The redesign priorities were determined based on the results of the IPA analysis, user characteristics, users' perceptions obtained from open-ended questions, and by referring to the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) Guideline No. 07/P/BM/2023 and the ITDP Jakarta 2023–2027 guidelines. The analysis results indicate that the overall level of user satisfaction falls within the very satisfied category. Nevertheless, several attributes still require improvement and were subsequently used as the basis for developing the proposed pedestrian facility redesign to enhance the quality, comfort, and accessibility of the area. The proposed redesign concept includes the addition of supporting pedestrian facilities such as benches, street lighting, bollards, bus shelters, and protective shelters or shading elements at several points along the pedestrian pathway to improve user comfort, safety, and mobility.
