Abstract

The government program providing free school lunches to students is one of the government’s efforts to ensure that children in school receive adequate nutrition. In addition, the benefits of The Nutritious Meals Program (MBG) include helping children focus on their studies, building stamina, maintaining a healthy weight, and encouraging healthy eating habits. Based on field findings, there are gaps caused by factors such as communication, resources, the disposition of implementers, and bureaucratic structure. This study aims to analyze the implementation and governance gaps of the free school lunch program at SDN Bintaro 08 Pagi and SDN Bintaro 09 Pagi elementary schools in South Jakarta. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and literature review. The data were then analyzed using George C. Edward III’s implementation gap model. This study examined a program that has been in place for the past year as a means of reflecting the principles of good governance at the school level
