Abstract
A corporate communication strategy is a plan to achieve a goal. This planning can be done using the RACE (research, action, communication, and evaluation) approach proposed by John Marston. Corporate communication strategies can be carried out through media relations activities as one of the public relations activities to build good relationships with the media so that they can create publications. Therefore, communication is a success factor for a company. Media is a company strategy for creating extensive news that can reflect a company's reputation. Therefore, this research examines in more depth how "Corporate Communication Strategy Through Media Relations Activities to Build PT VKTR's Reputation". This research aims to find out what strategies the company implements to build its reputation in the current competitive market era. The method used in the research is a qualitative method. This type of research is exploratory, which aims to explain the findings in as much depth as possible through data collection. The research results show that the reputation the company has built through media relations activities such as press releases, press conferences, press luncheons, media visits, and media gatherings shows that this company is generally viewed well by the media and the public. Thus, PT VKTR's reputation remains strong and positive despite the external challenges it faces.
