Abstract

This study discusses analysis of group communication cohesiveness and loyalty of Viking Tangerang Selatan supporters, with a focus on the Viking Tangerang Selatan community as supporters of Persib Bandung. The purpose of this study is to determine how cohesiveness built through group interaction and communication can shape long-term loyalty to a football club. The method used is a qualitative approach with a case study strategy. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, documentation of activities, and field observations. The results of the study indicate that social and emotional cohesion is formed through collective activities such as watching matches together, away trips, and community social activities. Informal and participatory communication strengthens a sense of belonging within the group. This cohesion directly contributes to supporter loyalty, both emotionally (attitudes) and in the form of tangible behaviors such as purchasing merchandise and actively participating in the community.
