Abstract

Research on public affairs strategies in corporate social and environmental responsibility programs is very important to conduct because public affairs can determine the existence of the company for the future & is related to the regulations established by the government. In the company's public affairs strategy, it is expected to build good relationships with stakeholders, engage in transparent and effective communication, implement issue and crisis management, and enhance public trust and image. If all of this can be executed well, the company will certainly achieve a strategic position. However, in practice, it is not easy for companies to achieve this, as there are certainly challenges of their own, both internal and external. The Social and Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL) serves as a bridge to build good relationships with the public, through activities carried out together with stakeholders and media publication. This research was conducted at PT Migas Utama Jabar (MUJ), purpose of this research is to describe the company's strategy in engaging with community groups & the government as well as publications through the media via the company's TJSL program. The research method uses case study research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The research results indicate that PT Migas Utama Jabar (MUJ) has successfully implemented the Social and Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL) by involving various parties in efforts to community empowerment and environmental preservation. The public affairs strategy implemented by the company includes two-way communication, economic empowerment through MSME programs, and environmental conservation through mangrove planting, which has had a positive impact on the surrounding community. Open and transparent communication between the company and the community, through dialogue forums and the use of social media, is a key element in maintaining harmonious relationships and ensuring that the needs of the community are reflected in the planning of CSR programs.
